Boyfriends' 23rd @ Dazzling Cafe

03:47:00

I know this is a really old post because my boyfriend's birthday is 16 August.

I was always curious on how special dazzling cafe's dessert was, and really wanted to try it out. There were many reviews about it that said that it was over-priced and not worth the hype when it first came to Singapore. Well, we decided to try for ourselves.

I usually have lessons on Tuesdays afternoon which ends at 3. So initially we decide to just head to the outlet at Capitol Piazza since it was so near SMU for tea. But temptation overwhelmed so we decided to just have our meals there lol. Here's what we ordered, and recommended by their staff too:

Dazzling Potato Doughnut with Bratwurst Filling

Butter Poached Salmon
Strawberry Lover Honey Toast!!!!

Our dessert! :D

It wasn't really very crowded on a Tuesday afternoon, but it took them about 15-20mins to serve the mains + 15mins for the dessert. I guess to me its bearable given that they compensated with good food. But I also think it'll be very true that they'll take longer than tolerable during peak periods. We weren't very much in chocolate mood that day so we ordered the Strawberry Lover Honey Toast. IT WAS SO GOOD. We totally loved the custard in there and felt that it went pretty well with the strawberry. But of course, we also believed it'll be better with chocolate.

Overall, we spent about $70 which was pretty expensive given the proportion (
especially for the mains), but the experience at Dazzling Cafe was unique. Did I mention they had pretty good service too?? A staff noticed that we had troubling deciding on our mains initially and approached us for recommendations based on our appetite for the day. They also chatted with us while we were paying our bill. Guess how much the unicorn behind us cost???

$15k lol

Can't wait to return to Dazzling again for other of their desserts!!!
